Ground Rules
The reading group currently uses the facilitation tenets from the AORTA Collective, which you can read here: (link). We follow the UF Student Code of Conduct; anyone who behaves in a way which violates the code during discussion will be removed at discretion of the facilitators.
We also adhere to the following tenets:
- Group members are coming into discussion from different life experiences, places in their critical identity development, and background knowledge. The discussion is a space for everyone to learn and grow.
- It is important to take what we have learned from discussion outside the group, but please keep group members anonymous when discussing takeaways outside of our discussions.
You can view notes on group goals and discussion ground rules brainstormed during the group’s initial meetings here: (link).
